Marcia Preston will define these categories, along with examples, and offer a modus operandi for the actual writing. Marcia has edited two national magazines, served as PR and publications director for the National Cowboy & Western Heritage museum, and freelanced for a long list of publications. Her six previous novels were traditionally published and earned a Mary Higgins Clark Award, an Oklahoma Book Award for Fiction, and four Best Fiction Book awards from OWFI. She’s a past president and honorary life member of both Oklahoma City Writers and OWFI. Her newest novel, The Spiderling, deals with the struggle of 11-year-old Kiwi Seager and her mother to build a new life after Kiwi’s father is killed in the Iraq War. The story grew from Marcia’s concern from her grand-daughters as her son served three tours in the Middle East. Official release date for the book is June 2. |
